Roar 4 Change recently launched the Roar 4 Women Empowerment (Roar 4 WE) program. Roar 4 Women Empowerment (Roar 4 WE) program is targeted for promoting women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others.
Mr. Baljit Singh, Program Director of Roar 4 Change said, “Under the Roar 4 Women Empowerment program, we are launching the NOOR initiative. NOOR which means divine light, is an initiative to empower single women to make innovative candles. We are focusing on single women who are the sole breadwinners of the family. We have tied up with Dhriti Raina Agro products Pvt Ltd for creating a new product line for them which will be called NOOR. Dhriti Raina Agro products Pvt Ltd will provide all the training to make the herbal candles.”
Roar 4 Change is starting a pilot in Navi Mumbai where 5 single women have been identified and will be receiving training on making these innovative candles. Once the quality process has been established as per Dhriti Raina Agro products Pvt Ltd, the program would further be rolled out to two states, Maharashtra and Punjab.
