30+ School Principals from various parts of Punjab have come together in Navi Mumbai for a two days conference for Better Teaching & Learning (BTL) Conference 2020. The conference is being held on Feb 21st and Feb 22nd, at Punjab Heritage Bhavan in Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The participants on the day one of the conference has put a mission of producing Noble Prize winners from the state of Punjab.
Roar 4 Change, Punjabi Cultural & Welfare Association (PCWA), and Jagat Punjabi Sabha have together for this unique conference to support improve the leadership in schools and universities of Punjab.
Mr. Baljit Singh, Roar 4 Change, Chief Organizer said, “We need to think how we can create role models. In order to produce role models, we are taking a mission to nominate individuals from India for Nobel prize. Together with Jagat Punjabi Sabha, Punjabi Cultural & Welfare Association and other associations, we will reach out to the school, university and public to nominate for different Nobel prize. We will create a committee to review the nominations and submit nominations for the Nobel prize. Doing this in a systematic process and we will be able to bring forward the great work done by individuals in different areas and by showcasing them, we will be able to create role models for the future generations.”
Mr. Ajaib Singh Chatha, Jagat Punjabi Sabha said, “Time has come that we have to think differently to focus on moral values and producing good society members. We will look forward supporting Roar 4 Change for their efforts. This is a great effort to bring the work of Punjabi’s to the world platform.”
Mr. Kamal Sharma, President, PCWA said, “We humbled to host the event at Punjab Heritage Bhavan. We have created a building of 3 story in Navi Mumbai to service the community. We are glad that we will part of the great initiative to take Punjabi’s on the journey of the noble prize.”
The BTL 2020 conference was unique where speakers with vast experience and knowledge depth spoke on different topic. During the two-day session, six session where held. The topics discussed during the six sessions are outlined below:
Friday, Feb 21st, 2020 – Day 1
Session 1: How to Get Universities and Schools to Align to Higher-Level Strategies
Session 2: Driving Moral Value across Administration and Students
Session 3: How Technology & Systems Thinking Applies to Education and how can we drive this within our current ecosystem.
Saturday, Feb 22nd, 2020- Day 2
Session 1: Beyond the Classroom: Supporting Student’s Basic Needs to Increase Success
Session 2: Inculcating Lifetime Change against Corruption!
Session 3: How to drive character education?
Roar 4 Change has initiation a new program Roar 4 Education. With inputs from the conference participants, following goals have been put forward for Roar 4 Education Program:
- Identify candidates for Nobel prize nomination where we could guide and support them to be nominated for Noble Prize. With the goal of Nobel prize, the candidates will also be nominated to other prominent awards in India.
- Digitization of old books and magazines to preserve the rich literature and history
- Create a new wave of English Learning that will open doors for the future generations.
- Create new and innovative Skilled Learning programs with partnership with companies from Israel, India and North America (USA & Canada).
- Create innovative program that will focus on the mental health of children and assist children to come out of depression.
- Create Global and National Sport Champions with new and innovative methodologies & technologies.
Mr. Baljit Singh, Chief Organizer of Roar 4 Change said, “We have achieved our goal of organizing the Better Teaching & Learning Conference 2020. Through this conference, we have identified our goals for Roar 4 Education program. The principals who attended the conference have become our champions to support us to implement our identified goals.”
Mr. Singh, further added, a detailed report on the conference and videos of the speaker will be available soon. We will also outline the each goal for Roar 4 Education program in detail. We decided during the conference that we will measure our progress on the set goals during our next conference which was decide to be held on Feb 5th and Feb 6th of 2021.
