Dr Ajita Naik joins GUIDES 4 Community to support the DFW community on Mental Health Challenges.
- Dr. Naik is currently working as a research fellow for Cardiac Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York city.
- Volunteer Make A Difference 2015-2016: Taught Math and English to underprivileged children in Mumbai shelter homes.
- Mentor for Make A Difference 2016-2017: Budding from knowledge and commitment to the program, the following year she was given the role of a mentor which included organizing MAD activities for the shelter and heading and carrying out projects at shelter level.
- City Leader for Make A Difference 2017-2018: She was made the head of the Mumbai Chapter for Transition Readiness & Aftercare where we helped our children prepare for transition from school and shelter homes into real adult lives. Taught them soft skills and provided one-on-one guidance and support. Within the description of my role was to also support our volunteers.
